About the Project
In August Council completed works on the final stage of the Turners Beach section of the Shared Coastal Pathway. Meaning that residents can now walk, run, or ride from Ulverstone all the way to Devonport!
This important project is part of Council’s long-term commitment to improving accessibility and recreational opportunities along our coastline.
The final stage of the project involved the construction of a 2.5-metre-wide shared path along the northern side of Esplanade, between Albert Street and Henry Street. The new pathway provides a safer and more enjoyable experience for pedestrians and cyclists travelling through the area.
