A place to have your say

My Central Coast is Central Coast Council’s online space for sharing information and inviting community feedback on projects, plans and decisions that affect our region.

It’s where you can:

  • Learn about what Council is working on
  • Share your ideas, feedback or concerns
  • See what we heard and how your input helped shape decisions

Not every project will look the same, but when we ask for feedback, we’re clear about what’s open for input and what isn’t.

Our engagement approach

Council undertakes engagement activities in different ways depending on the topic, its complexity, the level of community interest, and the extent to which stakeholders may be affected by or influence outcomes.

Engagement may involve sharing information, seeking feedback, or inviting community participation in shaping options or proposals. This work is guided by Council’s Communication and Engagement Framework and the Engagement Institute's (Formerly IAP2) Spectrum of Participation.

Council aims to make relevant information available so residents and stakeholders can understand the subject of engagement, the decisions being considered, and how engagement outcomes are used.

Council may send email updates to acknowledge contributions, share progress, or communicate outcomes from engagement and project processes, so participants can stay informed about how a project is progressing.

Spectrum of Participation

Why you may be asked to register

You do not need to create an account to view projects on My Central Coast, and registration is not required for all participation activities.

For some engagement opportunities, you may be asked to register or provide contact details. This helps Council understand who is participating and ensures engagement processes are fair, transparent and accountable.

Registration also allows Council to follow up with participants where appropriate. This may include acknowledging a contribution, sharing updates, reporting on outcomes, or explaining how community input was considered as part of a decision.

Any personal information collected through My Central Coast is handled in accordance with Council’s personal information protection policy.
