About the project

In 2010 funding was secured by the Cradle Coast Authority from the State Government’s Trails and Bikeways Program to construct approximately 85km of continuous shared/cycling pathway from Penguin to Sulphur Creek.

Central Coast Council is undertaking the completion of the Sulphur Creek Coastal Pathway project, with the final stage being the construction of beach access at Midway Beach and Preservation Bay.

Key Works Include:

  • Construction of a new pedestrian beach access ramp at Midway Beach. This 50-meter ramp walkway will enable inclusive access from the coastal pathway at Midway to the beach below.
  • Construction of new stairs at Preservation Bay for safer access to the beach.

Project Timeline:

  • Start Date: 11 March 2025
  • Expected Completion: July 2025
