Project Complete
In 2010 funding was secured by the Cradle Coast Authority from the State Government’s Trails and Bikeways Program to construct approximately 5.6km of continuous shared/cycling pathway from Penguin to Sulphur Creek.
As part of this work, Central Coast Council completed the final stage of the Sulphur Creek Coastal Pathway project with the construction of beach access at Midway Point and Preservation Bay finalised in late 2025.
Key Works Included:
- Completed September 2025: Construction of a new pedestrian beach access ramp at Midway Point. This 50-meter ramp walkway enables inclusive access from the coastal pathway at Midway Point to the beach below.
- Completed July 2025: Construction of new stairs at Preservation Bay for safer access to the beach.
