The Sulphur Creek Coastal Pathway project aims to complete the construction of approximately 85km of continuous shared/cycling pathway from Penguin to Sulphur Creek. This project includes the final stage of constructing beach access at Midway Beach and Preservation Bay.

Project Benefits:

• Improved, safer and more inclusive beach access.
• Increased protection from users for local wildlife.
• Promotes regional growth and tourism within the area.

Funding for the project was secured by the Cradle Coast Authority from the State Government’s Trails and Bikeways Program in 2010.

Construction of a new pedestrian beach access ramp at Midway Beach, a 50-meter ramp walkway enabling inclusive access from the coastal pathway to the beach.

Construction of new stairs at Preservation Bay for safer access to the beach.

Work is scheduled to finish by July 2025

Yes, there will be some disruptions to parking availability due to the use of machinery and material deliveries. Temporary fencing will be raised to secure equipment on site.

No, there will be no changes to road usage during this project.
