At the heart of Greening Central Coast lies our commitment to increasing green infrastructure and enhancing the liveability of our region. Trees play a crucial role in mitigating the urban heat island effect, reducing air pollution, and improving water quality. By strategically planting and preserving trees in urban areas, we can create cooler, healthier environments for residents and visitors alike.

Through community engagement, education and partnerships, Council is supporting residents to care for and improve their local environment. From tree planting activities to green infrastructure projects, we are working with the community to create a greener, healthier and more resilient Central Coast.

As part of the Greening Central Coast Strategy, Council is planning landscaping works on the shared coastal pathway at West Beach Reserve. This will increase canopy and improve visual amenity.
