Embracing Urban Greenery for a Sustainable Future

Central Coast’s urban landscape is undergoing a transformation, one tree at a time. With our Greening Central Coast initiative, we’re not just planting trees; we’re cultivating a greener, more sustainable future for our communities. Trees are more than just ornaments; they’re essential components of urban ecosystems, providing numerous environmental, social, and economic benefits.

At the heart of Greening Central Coast lies our commitment to increasing green infrastructure and enhancing the liveability of our region. Trees play a crucial role in mitigating the urban heat island effect, reducing air pollution, and improving water quality. By strategically planting and preserving trees in urban areas, we can create cooler, healthier environments for residents and visitors alike.

Greening Central Coast for the future

Greening Central Coast is about more than planting trees. It is about creating healthy, resilient and sustainable places that can be enjoyed now and into the future.

Through community engagement, education and partnerships, Council is supporting residents to care for and improve their local environment. From tree planting activities to green infrastructure projects, we are working with the community to create a greener, healthier and more resilient Central Coast.
